Back in February (2014), I took on a project to shoot for a dancer from Beijing Dance Academy, whose dream was to one day have her own show in Vancouver. We started out with some practice shots on Granville Island, then we moved to my buddy's home studio, last at dance centre with her endless rehearsals.
Through every shutter clicks, it was amazing to see the strength and passion from Dongmei. Her skill-set was superb, yet it was her determination to fulfill her dream that moved me.
